Some recent work.

I almost forgot to add some pics that I've recently taken for my color photography class at school. I have four pictures that I printed, but only two that I really like. So I thought I would add those two for all to see. I also promised Jodi that I would add the pic she helped me with, with the glow in the dark stars.
We were asked to take pics that would be titled "My Heart's Desire" and "Darkness Visible". Its supposed to be in a pair, where the pictures tell a story. For the first one I did a picture of the Consitution of the United States, on an American Flag. That one I am really proud of because it turned out awesome. And if it doesn't look good on here, you'll need to see it in person because it truly is one of my best. The picture that goes with it is a picture of three of the founding fathers of our country kneeling and praying. I wasn't to pleased with it, but its not horrible.
For Darkness Visible I took pictures of some glow in the dark stars and of my lava lamp. The lava lamp pic is pretty boring, which I figured it would be. But the glow in the dark stars turned out really cool and Jodi helped so I'll dedicate that one to Jodi my awesome assistant for that day!!!!

Like I said, they look a lot better when you see them in person than they do on here. Its a little hard to take pictures of them without a flash showing up somewhere. If you are interested in seeing the other two, let me know and maybe I'll post them on here for ya. I hope you like them, I'm very proud of my flag picture. One of my best so far.
Thats all for now! TOODLES!!!

PARTY ON!!!!

Hey all my fans! :) Its been a little while since I last blogged, but life has gotten a little hectic. I've been really busy with school, every class is killing me. I think the teachers are out to get me. :) But I digress. (I think that is how its spelled. Its my intelligent word for the day.)
My latest adventure occured while my husband was away in Las Vegas for "work". Or so he says. But you know the saying, while the husbands away the wife will play. YEE HAW! AND PLAY I DID!!!!!!!
I decided to have a girl party over at my house and we had a blast. I invited a few friends and my friend Amy brought over Rock Band. We had to come up with a band name and I so wisely chose the name HOOTERS. (Well we're all girls aren't we?) If you don't know what rock band is then you totally need to play it!!!! Its where you have someone singing, someone on drums, and two people playing guitars. Then you play songs and you make money(not real money, darn), and earn fans! Its way fun! We get into it a little too much, but we have a blast. So I'm posting a few pics here of us all playing the game and just having fun.

We had a lot of fun!!! Nothing like just hangin' out with the girls! We really had a lot of fun! Some people were a little leary of singing, but when among friends nobody makes fun of others. So we all had to sing and it was great!!! I have some funny pics of some of the singers. But they are all awesome!!!
After the party I went to go and see the musical Cats with my cousins. We had a blast there. In the beginning of the show the actors are running through the aisles with their eyes glowing. One ran past me and ran into my shoe, then turned and scared me when he looked at me. I didn't scream though, but a woman down a few rows did, it was really funny. But I absolutely loved it and too bad I couldn't take my camera in with me. But I took pics of the playbill and my ticket!!! I want to go again!!! WHOO HOOO!!!!!

Thats all for now!!! Not much else going on!!!!!! See ya later!!!

Peach Days!!!!

Wuz up my peeps!!!! Sorry, feeling a little funny tonight. :) Anyways, I figured it was time for another blog for ya'll and most recently, well the second weekend in September, we went up to my home town to Peach Days!!! The only reason why we go is because they have the BEST PEACH COBBLER you have ever tasted. Plus we had to go and see the carshow and motorcycle show.
So we decided to wait until the parade got over before we made our way up there. Of course silly us pull into town about the time the parade ends and its a mad house. Hey, there is nothing to do in Brigham City so Peach Days is all that they have. :) We had to go and get Scuba burgers, which are not made of scuba divers. ( Daryl argued with me that they were. What a goof.) I believe its the local Search and Rescue team that puts it all together and they call it scuba burgers because they like to dive. (You can tell I don't truly know so who knows, they could be made of scuba divers or scuba gear for all I know. :) )
From there we went and looked at the motorcycles that were lined up on mainstreet. We found one that looked just like Daryl's only it was a little prettier and probably a lot more money put into it.

My mom is always telling Daryl he needs to get a motorcycle with a side car so that she can go riding with him. Funny thing, we actually found one that day and it was pretty cool.

From there we went and got our peach cobbler, which was AMAZING in case you were wondering. We took a pit stop at mom and dads house so Daryl could get a nap and I could bug my family. (FUN STUFF!) Then we went down the street to the car show. We came across these old army jeeps from World War Two. They were really amazing and the guys sitting next to them had a whole lot of old stuff from that time. In fact he let Daryl hold this old gun sitting in the front seat. That was the biggest grin that Daryl ever had on his face that day. (I'm not sure what kind of gun it was, but it was awesome.)

These jeeps were totally stocked with scary weapons. Like on the window there were two gernades hanging there and there was guns under seats. It was really amazing and it makes you wonder if that was truly how they drove around during the war. Wouldn't surprise me.

Then of course we ended up going to find the mustangs. I had to keep wiping Daryl's chin because he was drooling over them constantly. :) But they were cool. We find a mustang that Daryl liked until he came around the back and saw that they were Nebraska fans and then he wasn't so keen on that car anymore. (I can't quite figure it out.) Then of course we found a mustang named Eleanor, like from Gone in 60 Seconds and I made Daryl take a picture of me in front of it. My future car. :) (I wish.)

So we had a lot of fun while were there and jealous of some of those mustang owners. I know there was a lot of pics on this, but I thought you would all enjoy it. I'll see ya on the next blog!

My New Embarrassing Moment.

So we all have embarrassing moments, ones that we wonder why did I do that? Or, am I ever going to live this one down? Well, normally I wouldn't be sharing this with everyone, except for this has never happened to me before and I do have to admit, looking back it was freaking hilarious.
For those of you that don't know, I now take public transportation to school. Its actually really nice not having to drive everyday and I'm meeting interesting people on the bus. (Plus its saving Daryl a lot of money and we all know how he loves to save money.) Anyways, I have to take my car about a mile down the road to a church where the bus I need stops to pick me up. Let me just give you a picture of where I wait.
Its in a really nice neighborhood, on a very busy street. Of course, in Utah we live right up against the mountains, so those are directly behind the houses I wait by. There is a streetlight, not yet hooked up, right above the stop, but right now its still kind of light at six thirty in the morning when I'm waiting for my bus. Directly behind me is a house that sits up on a hill and this house has seven foot bushes right behind me. Its kind of their fence, but you can't see anything through it.
So this morning, I was doing my thing, waiting for the bus at my stop, thinking about all that I needed to get done today. When I noticed that the cars just about thirty feet down the road were coming to a quick stop. I saw a little movement out of the corner of my eye but assumed (remember what happens when we assume people), that it was just the joggers heading my way. So I went back to thinking about what I needed to do after school and all the upcoming assignments due. Then I happen to hear a noise, not a usual noise like a dog barking or a car, or a person. But I wasn't quite sure what the noise was, but I quickly found out.
Remember those seven foot bushes behind me. Well all of a sudden, something HUGE came bursting out of them. It took me a second to realize that it was a GIANT Deer, a male with GIANT Antlers to be more exact. Without thought, I screamed like a girl,(because I am one thank you very much), and ran as fast as I could. And if I'm not mistaken, I think the deer did the exact same thing, only he went in the opposite direction.
The whole time I'm running, (I've left my backpack behind, by the way), I'm thinking of a video I once saw on Animal Planet. I'm sure some of you have seen this before, where a man is getting attacked by a male deer. Yeah, I thought for sure that was going to be me. With every passing step I was waiting to get attacked from behind. So, picture if you will, as I'm sure you're already doing, this in slow motion. I'm sure I scared the deer as much if not more than he scared me. He wasn't expecting anyone on the other side of the bushes and for that matter, I wasn't expecting anyone to come through the bushes. I'm sure for a split second, a nano of a second, we stopped looked at each other and thought, HE'S GOING TO KILL ME!!!! Then we ran.
And remeber those joggers I was telling you about. Well they stopped to see if I was okay, but didn't ask until the laugher had subsided. The one said it was the funniest thing she'd ever seen and wished she had her video camera, because we would probably be winning America's Funniest Home Videos. Then she continued to laugh along with her companion. I was soooooooo embarrassed, but I'm glad I made someone's day. Then they went on the merry way, laughing of course and I climbed on the bus that had just pulled up. THANKFULLY no one on the bus had seen what happened to me.
I tell you what, I have been close to deer before, but never this close. You think scary movies are scary. OH NO!!! Why don't you go stand, in the half dark, in front of seven foot bushes, have a GIANT deer come through, scare you s*** less(excuse the language but I feel it is appropriate), and then you tell me what's scary!
Yeah, maybe I exaggerated a little bit about it being a GIANT deer, but he wasn't little. Because if it had been Bambi before adulthood, I may not have run.
I hope that I have given you all something to laugh about and I'm sure you are all rolling on the floor with laughter right now. YOUR WELCOME!!!!!!!!

He looked a lot scarier and bigger than this!

Chillin' with the Family.

So over Labor Day weekend Daryl's brother Clint and his family came out to hang out with us for four days. It was a blast! We got to spend a lot of one on one time with our nephews, which is something we don't get to do enough of since we live so far away. But they are a riot! Here they are just being silly.

They came by train to get to us and were only six hours late getting in, but it could be worse. We had to take two cars to go and get them, then while everybody grabbed a nap, I went of to school for a few hours. It was pretty funny to come home and find the whole house really really quiet. They were all sound asleep. But not long after that, Daryl woke up and the rest of the household followed, so the fun began!!! WHOO HOOO!!!!!
During the weekend we ended up going on a few bike rides. Well, mostly Daryl and Clint rode bikes, I tried to keep up with them in my car. A little hard when my car seems to want to overheat all the time. Oh well. At least I got to spend time with Shanielle,(I hope I spelled that right) and just chat away. That was a lot of fun.
I also learned how smart our nephews are and just how funny they can be.
There was one day we were just hanging out at the house, I can't remember exactly what we were doing, but out of the blue Cameron, who is two for a few more days, say "For shizzle my nizzle." (However that is spelled.) We all stop, look at each other and go, "Where did he learn that?" It was really funny. That kid is hilarious. So the rest of the weekend I made it my goal to get him to say "Don't hassle the hoff." ( I learned that from my friend Amy. Not sure exactly where it comes from, but I think its funny.) He was very good at compling and said it to Daryl a few times, making me just roll with laughter.
Overall we spent a lot of time just hanging out and chatting with them. We took them to Park City and ate at a really good brewery. Then on Monday we went to a local aquarium to see some fish and sharks. It wasn't too impressive, but it still had some really cool things there. They had this place where you could go and touch the sting rays as they swam by. At one point there was a sting ray that sort of climbed the side of the tank and scared the crap out of me. I'm not sure, but I think Izaya actually touched that one. Crazy kid. I've touched them before and they feel really wierd.
I've also offered Cameron a photography job with me when he grows up. I'll add the pics at the end here, but he got these cheap little camera toys on the last day they were here and he thought he was a photographer. It was pretty cute. He was taking pictures of me while I was taking pictures of him. It was hilarious. He also took a picture of me on his "Cell phone" (a toy phone with Buzz Lightyear on the front) and I told him it was a great pic of me, other than I looked a little like Buzz Lightyear. He didn't get it, but I thought I was funny. :)

Anyways, we had a blast with them out here and I think we are done with family visiting for this year. Which is sad, we always have a blast when people come visit us. Oh well, I'm sure we'll be bugging them soon. YEAH!!!! I guess I'll se ya'll on my next blog!!!! Ta ta!!!

More about my summer!

So now that summer has sort of officially come to an end, I thought I would tell you more exciting stories from my summer break. Besides, there isn't much else going on right now to talk about. So summer break it is!! Woo Hoo!

Here is a picture of Strawberry Bay. We spent a lot of time there this, mostly just fishing. We did spend a weekend there with Daryl's parents at the beginning of August and rented a pontoon boat. It was a blast!!! We rented a pontoon boat for two days and had some pretty exciting adventures.
The first morning we went out, it was really really cold!!! But the fish were a bitin'! I jokingly told my father in law that I would be the first to catch a fish that day. Funny thing, I was. We had probably been sitting in one spot for about ten minutes when I got my first bite! YEE HAW!!! I was so excited I was yelling for Daryl to come and help me. I did get that ugly bugger up on the boat and he wasn't big enough to keep but I was pretty darn proud of myself for catching the first fish.
So after we put him back in the water, I jokingly said that I was going to catch the second fish, what do you know, I did. This one was smaller than the first, but I still caught the first two fish. GO ME!!!! So of course, everyone else wanted to move spots because they weren't getting fish. I'm kidding, we decided to move and we hit a hot spot.
We were sitting there chatting, having a good time when all of a sudden Daryl's Dad's pole started jerking. SO he hurried to his pole, then about ten seconds later, suddenly my pole starts jerking. So I ran to my pole and wouldn't you know it, a few seconds later, Daryl's Mom's pole started jerking. So we're all trying to reel in our catches, yelling at Daryl for help, and poor Daryl is running around trying to help us. Sadly he didn't get a fishy then. But his parents both got awesome keepers and later on would eat them. Good job parents!!!!
By the end of the day, between the four of us, we caught a total of ten fish. Four of them, were mine thank you very much. I was pretty proud of myself. So Daryl decided to take a swim in the lake, crazy bugger. It was really cold, but nice and clear. I've added a picture for you all. Yeah he looks a little cold.

The following day we went out again and this time my parents, my brother, and our friend Yusef all came up to join us on the boat. It was a lot of fun. We did more touring around the lake than fishing, but it was gorgeous. We were looking for a black bear that had been spotted a few days before, never did find him though. I don't know if thats a good thing or a bad thing. Oh well. Sadly our day was cut short by a really big storm that decided to roll in.
I get a little nervous out on lakes because I'm just that way. I kept watching these clouds coming and going, we should probably head back in. I repeated it severaly times and I know I was driving people crazy. Finally they happened to listen to me and its a good thing too. We found out later that one pontoon boat was stranded out in the lake during the storm and the waves weren't small either. Also, when we came into dock, our boat died right as we got to the docks and so we may have been stranded out there if we hadn't come back in. Yes I know, I'm the smart one, what can I say. :) Although, I wish I was a little more adventurous, but I'm just a pansy. :) But while we were out there, we did have a lot of fun. I'm adding a picture of the storm clouds looming towards us and you decide whether or not I was right in wanting to hurry back in. :)

Thats pretty much all that I have about that story. Not as funny as my combine story, but still a good story. :) I'll be posting another blog soon enough!!!! See ya then!!!
